Why Were People So Impacted By This?
Not only was the control of money lost, companies were lost. Ideas were lost but most importantly employees were lost, pedestrians were lost, policemen were lost, firemen were lost, protection was lost and family members were lost. This happened so sudden, out of nowhere. We all felt vulnerable and out of control.

What Was The Outcome?
The World Trade Center Towers collapsed after two hours of being hit. In total nearly 3 thousand people lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks, most of these in the WTC. To compare, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, in 1941, resulted in 2,400 deaths. These two historical events are one of the most tragic events that have occurred in the U.S.

How Did It Happen?
The Hijackers were able to get control of the four planes and redirect them back toward New York City and Washington D.C. 3 out of the 4 four planes that were being hijacked, were able to strike their intended targets: two planes struck the twin towers in Manhattan and the third struck the Pentagon in Washing D.C. The 4th plane, United Airlines Flight, never arrived to its destination.

In September 11, 2001, 19 members of the Islamic extremist group and Al Qaeda boarded four different commercial passenger planes flying for the west coast.

The 9/11 attacks are the attacks managed by Osama Bin Laden on the 11th of September in the year of 2001. All occured around 8:30 a.m.
